Scope of Work:

Coastal Caisson installed (139) 60” diameter drilled shafts to a depth ranging from 50ft. to 70ft. deep to serve as the structural elements for a cantilever secant wall. The exposed height of the cantilever wall is 25ft. Due to easement restrictions the engineer designed a cantilever wall system that does not require lateral supporting elements such as tiebacks. The secant shafts consisted of an equal number of primary unreinforced and heavily reinforced secondary shafts.

Coastal Caisson used a Bauer BG-28 Drill Rig with 1500mm O.D. segmental drill casing and tooling. The site soils consisted of wet silty sands overlying the variably weathered Gneiss bed rock.
