Scope of Work:

In order to develop prime property in the heart of Downtown Evansville that fell outside the protection of an existing permanent concrete wall, a demountable flood wall system 1,500 LF in length was designed and manufactured.

The demountable wall ensured that the aesthetics of the riverfront were not reduced, while providing suitable protection during periods of floods.

The wall, with a designed maximum height of 9 ft, consisted of a demountable post and aluminum beam stop log structure. The post and beam elements were inter-changeable throughout the length of the wall, which results in ease of and reduced erection time.

The elements are constructed from extruded aluminum, which resulted in them being man hand able.
