Drilled Shafts

Drilled_Shafts       The drilled shaft has been a staple in high capacity foundations for many years. Coastal Caisson has developed state of the art tools and techniques for drilling shafts up to 96” Æ into hard rock.

This type of system has been used by Coastal Caisson on 1000’s of projects throughout the southeast. In the sandy soil areas, the shafts can be installed using a slurry system to stabilize the excavations.

Drilled shafts are typically used to carry structures with very high axial, lateral, and/or moment loads on projects such as bridges, tall buildings, towers and heavy equipment that may have dynamic loads.
